Just some more insight: I think why Ian took Mickey to the dugouts was because he wanted to go back to that time, when he was falling for Mickey and there was no issues between them, that’s Ian’s happy place. He just wanted to get drunk, have sex and fall in love over and over again. He wanted it to be how it was when they were younger, that’s why he also snapped when Mickey began babying him. Ian just wanted to go back to a much simpler time. He wanted to feel again.
